Developing Strong Leaders

As a student enters Hyde Park High School, a Christ-centered approach based on small class sizes, certified and caring teachers, and a challenging curriculum in all subjects makes the difference. From Latin to Calculus to AP English IV, students achieve their highest potential.

Our academics are designed to challenge students. A full range of academic offerings includes Dual Credit Courses, AP and Pre-AP courses, as well as the LEAP Program, a successful academic support program. At Hyde Park High School, family expectations are high and results are proven. HPHS  students complete their high school careers academically, socially, and spiritually prepared for our nation’s top universities.

Hyde Park High School has a student culture committed to leadership, service, and integrity. All HPHS students participate in the Austin Christian Leadership Academy which offers students the opportunity to put principles of Christian leadership into practice. ACLA students work on public speaking skills and also develop Community Builder Projects that impact the Austin community and beyond. Additional Bible Courses such as Apologetics and Bible Doctrine encourage student faith in a classroom setting. Christ-centered leadership skills are also developed at HPHS through Student Council, National Honor Society, Youth and Government, Yearbook/Newspaper, and weekly Chapel. HPHS students learn first-hand about serving others by participating in a schoolwide Day of Service where HPS students, faculty, and staff band together to reach out to serve over 30 non-profits in the Austin area.

Hours spent studying, rehearsing, learning, and growing ... it all comes down to graduation day. HP High School graduates leave their beautiful 57-acre high school home with discipline, responsibility, Christian leadership, and a dedicated sense of who they are and how they can contribute to our world.

All HPHS students graduate under the Distinguished Graduate degree plan. Click the Course Description button below for detailed course information.
