Hyde Park Varsity Football Excels!

With an 8-1 district record, the Panthers worked hard under the outstanding leadership of Head Coach Dean Campbell and his staff.
The Panthers opened the season with a riveting double overtime win against St. Michael’s on September 4th with a final score of 26-23. Next, the Panthers were on the road for Game #2 with a match up against St. Anthony’s in San Antonio. The Panthers logged their second win with a 21-0 finish. On September 18, Hyde Park took on the Rogers Eagles at the Quarries, posting a 39-20 victory over the Eagles. With a 30-7 win over St. Dominic Savio in early October, the Panthers continued to gain momentum and build as a team. With a home game against Regents on October 9, Hyde Park came away with a 25-24 victory over the Knights. Back on the road for Game #6, the Panther offense was tough to contain resulting in a 35-0 win over San Antonio’s Cornerstone Christian. On October 23, Hyde Park matched up against Victoria St. Joseph and posted a 13-6 win. Next, Hyde Park faced opponent John Paul II of Corpus and logged a 63-0 victory over the Centurions. The Hyde Park Community celebrated Homecoming with a BBQ and County Fair on November 6th followed by the game against Holy Cross of San Antonio. The Panthers completed this outstanding season in the playoffs against Ft. Worth Christian on November 13.
