HPHS Student Recognized as National Scholar

 
Senior Sandra Munoz was recognized by the College Board’s Hispanic Recognition Program (NHRP) which identifies academically outstanding Hispanic/Latino high school students. Ranking in the top 2.5% among Hispanic and Latino students in the area on her PSAT score her Junior year, Munoz has attended Hyde Park since Kindergarten. Sandra plans to apply to UT, Texas A&M, Boston University, and the University of Miami. She is considering entering the field of finance with plans to study business in college. When asked about her favorite subjects at HP, Sandra stated, “I loved my AP English Class with Mrs. Kelley, my AP Chemistry class with Mrs. Polski, and I am enjoying my Calculus BC class with Mrs. Sierra.” Sandra also added, “I think Hyde Park offers a great community for students. I have been active in fine arts as well as academics. Students aren’t afraid to try new things at HP and there is always a group of students ready to take you in and support you in your new endeavors!” Hyde Park congratulates Sandra on this well-deserved accomplishment!
